SpaceX - launch of Koreasat-5A

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket takes off with Koreasat-5A as payload, from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The Falcon 9 carried the Koreasat-5A satellite into space, where it will provide bandwidth to Korea and South Asia during its estimated 15-year lifespan.

Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, which was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. The satellite was deployed approximately 36 minutes after liftoff.

The launch was the 16th successful launch for SpaceX this year.
